Hello everyone. I hope you⁸ are all OK? Well it is 2 years ago today since I had my seizure and was rushed to hospital to be told I had a brain 🧠 tumour. Later that night I was transferred to Birmingham QE hospital to be told they didn’t think it was a tumour but an access. Antibiotics were used to reduce it.
My actual cancervissary is 10th July as this was when it was diagnosed and still going strong. So do not listen to those words from the consultant that life span is 12 to 15 months, that is a generic time frame. I was told that and am now on 24 months. Everyone is different so fight everyday.
I had my bloods taken nearly 2 weeks ago, remember the rescheduling due to it being a fasting blood test. Well I had it and waited for results as Dr was ringing me to discuss a week yesterday but could not say when exactly. (Appreciate they are busy). Our lass rang the surgery at 17.45 to enquire about the call from the dr and the receptionist said he will ring. At 19.00 our lass rang again to hear voice mail saying surgery is now closed. Eventually at 19.30 Dr rang.
He said my blood sugar levels are a bit high and he would e mail me some leaflets about how to reduce it. I then asked about my MRI results and about changing my dexamethazone as advised to me by my consultant. He then replied he was not aware of the change of meds, but he saw mention of it in my notes. He said he would speak to the consultant and would have to call me back in a few days and hung up.
As we hadn’t heard anything by last Thursday we rang the surgery again to be told no Dr’s are in today, I enquired about the following day but was told no Dr was off then as well. So wasted call, no e mail leaflet and non the wiser what is going on.
To say peed off is an understatement and my consultant call is not until the end of this month. I know long winded moan sorry but not everyone understands. To cap it all I received a letter saying you appear not to have had your covid jab (I have had both) and to contact them to arrange.
Rant over. Sorry about that. I hope everyone is feeling well or as good as you can be and keep on England for the game today.
